(Opelousas, LA) – The Kiwanis Club of Opelousas is pleased to announce its 4th year Co-Ed Softball Tournament, our 2nd Community Family Fun Day and 1st Annual Black Pot Cookoff. This event will be held at South City Park at 1524 S. Market St. Opelousas, LA 70570 on Saturday, September 14th. We are also partnering with other community organizations to offer a family fun day with activities at no cost.
Join in the fun by coming to cheer on local businesses as they engage in friendly competition for a great cause! The games start at 8am. Community organizations are invited to facilitate games or activities for the community at no cost from 8am-5pm; please call (337) 459-1434 if your organization would like to set up a free game or activity while promoting your business or non-profit. The community is invited to come out, free of charge, to partake in activities or be spectators of the co-ed softball tournament. A cash concession stand with food and drinks will be available.
The Kiwanis Club is a non-profit, global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the lives of children one child and one community at a time. The proceeds from this event will benefit charitable organizations in the Opelousas-St. Landry Parish area.
